wednesday, 21 january - well it's been awhile, but i haven't had anything to say til now. this morning i was speaking to my friend who lives in north carolina and she was amazed that i watched more of president obama's inauguration than she did! i turned the tv on at 10 o'clock in the morning on cnn and didn't turn it off til 11 pm when i hit the sack. i watched everything from the vips arriving, the swearing in, the walk down pennsylvania avenue, viewing the parade and finally all the waltzes at i think 4 of the balls. the amazing fact is that i don't watch any of the canadian swearing ins, of course i don't think there is that much pomp and ceremony up here either. they are such a lovely couple and i wish them well in their new home and their new life as president and michelle obama because i think he has a hell of a job to do down there!
