outside spring cleaning woes!

i just finished raking up all the fir tree needles, leaves and rocks from the front grass! st. hubert has decided to not use salt on the lesser used roads and instead uses gravel. but the gravel is getting bigger and bigger each year, it used to be just gravel, but today i found rocks that were at least 2 inches, grrrr..... i hope i got them all becasue sure as shootin' the lawn mower will find them and shoot them out like a rifle shot!!!

Yes and come shooting out and hit you in the shins....been there done that :) I went on a stick and rock hunt at the weekend.

Still 2 sections of garden I can't do due to the remaining snow.

Yikes! That's awful. It sure sounds a lot worse than salt. :S

Our city uses salt (ick, but it works) and sand for the really cold and/or icy days. The sweeper came by this week and got rid of most of the sand, so I think we're good now.

I'm still working on the dog poop before I start raking. Should be done today and the kids are helping, it's like pulling teeth though. ;) I think we use salt here, but I'm not sure? haven't encountered a rock problem in past years, but then again I haven't tackled the front yard..
btw, I can see that you check my blog and dont leave a comment.. rofl! ;p
